French is one of the most popular second languages with around 120 million students worldwide taking French classes as of late 2019. Whether it’s for your 8-year-old watching Madeline or your 12-year-old slowly becoming interested in Paris Girl Fashion, learning French is definitely something fun you can do for your Young Learners. The pinnacle of culture and je ne sais quoi, learning the basics of French can definitely enrich your kid’s appreciation of art, music, and literature. Joining the French Language Explorer Club will give members an opportunity to have fun while getting a feel of the basics of the French language. Give your kids a fun, culture-filled learning experience!

Learning Objectives

At the end of the program, our students will be able to:

  1. Have a grasp of the French language grammar system and pronunciation
  2. Respond to every day basic commands,
  3. Connect with members, giving each one the opportunity to practice and converse with fellow French Language explorers.

  1. Class management phrases (good morning teacher, I have a question, how do you say, what is the meaning of, how do you write, how do you pronounce? Please, thanks, etc)
  2. French Alphabet pronunciation and practice
  3. Usage of Formal and Informal greetings
  4. Nationalities and languages, gender and number
  5. Personal introduction (hello, name, age, nationality, study, live at, phone number, spoken language, nice to meet you) Q&A
  6. Professions, gender and number
  7. Introducing family members and professions
  8. Evaluation

Instructors

Alphonse Teua

Alphonse Teua is a native French speaker, originally from French Polynesia. He has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management and a Master's Degree in Theology. Alphonse started teaching back in 2007 as a Math tutor, then Professor of Science in Communication, Vocation Director, Academic Dean and most recently, French teacher. He has been working in multicultural environments and has handled both kids and adults throughout his career.
