Six percent (6%) of the world’s population is Spanish-speaking, with around 41 million citizens in the US speaking Spanish as either their mother tongue or as a second language. Spanish also has a deep connection with Filipino, with words like “pwede” and “syempre” being direct derivations. This gives Filipino young learners a clear advantage, making it easier for them to create connections between meanings. Joining the Spanish Language Explorer Club can also be a lot of fun for students because of the Spanish emphasis on food as well as art and culture, from Paella to Picasso. Give your kids a hand and let them explore the wonders of the Spanish speaking world!
